Job Summary:

Navaide is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with monthly reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. This position offers flexibility and is perfect for someone looking to balance work with other commitments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist with processing, reconciling, and monitoring vendor bills.

Responsible for new employee set up and maintenance as well as assist with timecard reviews and employee assistance.

Responsible for meeting with new employees to provide guidance on timekeeping and expense reporting responsibilities, as well as act as the first point of contact for various payroll, timecard, and expense reporting questions.

Process employee travel and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Assist with various sales, use, franchise, and payroll tax filings.

Assist in reconciling bank statements by inputting and validating all transactions.

Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Support financial analysis efforts by gathering and organizing data for analysis.

Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Assist with various account reconciliations, data calls, and month-end close procedures.

Undertake various ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior staff or supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.

Basic knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, Deltek CostPoint, or Unanet preferred)

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
