Salary Range:

$30.7500 - $47.2800 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of a registered nurse, provides care within the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment. Assists with the care and maintenance of department equipment. Completes and accurately charts patient records. Completes and accurately keeps records of equipment and quality measures. Assists team in direct and indirect patient care as assigned by department. The LVN must collaborate with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of care across the continuum, providing timely, safe, and quality care. Responsible for providing a safe, HIPAA compliant environment for the patient and the staff. Demonstrates competence and sensitivity in caring for multicultural patients/families by adapting the plan of care based on cultural needs identified. Demonstrates an ability to work in a multicultural team environment and is respectful of the cultural diversity of the workforce and the patients served. Participates in continuous quality improvement processes.

The LVN Lead will take on more complex tasks as well as organize and assign duties to clinical team members. Monitors daily performance of the clinical team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely. Assists with new hire interviews and conducts and documents Department Orientation of new employees within the required timeframe.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

One or more years of experience in a healthcare facility.

Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

License Required

Current LVN License to practice in the State of California.

Certifications Required

Current BLS Certification.
