Applications may be rejected if incomplete.Minimum Qualifications:A baccalaureate degree plus four years of professional-level experience in juvenile probation and parole, social services, counseling, or in a residential, correctional, mental health, or group home setting.SUBSTITUTIONS:Six years of full-time work experience in any field may be substituted for the required baccalaureate degree.A master's degree in relevant fields will substitute for one year of the required experience.A Ph.D. in relevant fields will substitute for two years of the required experience.Job Concepts:FUNCTION OF WORK: To serve as deputy chief administrator of a juvenile secure care facility.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direction from Youth Facility Director.SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Direct line over subordinate security and Juvenile Justice personnel.Examples of Work:Serves as the principal assistant to the Youth Facility Director.Assists in directing and controlling all activities of the Juvenile Reception and Diagnostic Center.Assists in administering a comprehensive professional rehabilitation program for clients.Serves on call to respond to emergencies.Conducts investigations relating to grievances filed by employees and offenders.NOTE:
