AWS Lead Architect

Location:

Charlotte NC (Onsite role)

Role Expectations

Complete ownership of the program and represent Cognizant to client stakeholders.

Deep technical expertise on AWS Cloud infrastructure automation, including end-to-end provisioning, management, operations, and optimization.

Act as the SME and single point of contact for client and Cognizant teams to implement best practices in Infra automation and DevOps.

Experience in implementing Terraform in AWS on real-time applications.

Perform the role of Enterprise Cloud Architect, including Infrastructure, DevOps, and Application integrations.

Excellent understanding of Cloud Cost Optimization levers.

Ability to convert directional statements from customers into product features in technical terms and work with product design experts to elaborate them into deliverable stories.

Interact frequently with CIO to provide updates on program progress, ideate on solutions, and resolve bottlenecks.

Prioritize product features based on discussions with IT Operators and client managers to maximize customer benefits from the solution.

Flexibility to work and deliver for an onshore-offshore model.

Other Role Expectations:

Understand existing maturity in Cloud SRE and provide a strategic roadmap to improve.

Set up a Cloud COE of cross-functional teams to promote technical agility within the client environment.

Excellent understanding of SLI, SLO, SLA’s, and QOS.

Implement DevSecOps Maturity model to enhance business outcomes.

Provide technology inputs to the client’s senior leadership team to elevate the client’s scale of business.

Take complete ownership of ideas and implementation end-to-end.

Job Responsibilities:

Strong technical background in Infrastructure design and Infra automation (IaC), cloud operations (resource provisioning, patching, DR, configuration management, tagging, logging, performance & capacity management, incident management, event management, etc.).

Good knowledge of DevSecOps, CICD Pipeline, and Observability.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Strong experience in the Change management process.

Experience in presenting to the executive leadership team.

Experience in the Technical Program Management Lifecycle.

Knowledge of Agile/Lean processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum 16+ years of IT experience with 8-10 years of AWS Cloud experience.

AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification and Terraform experience would be a plus.

Good to have Azure Experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to create and walk-through technical presentations to executives.

Strong program management skills with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
