Our client is a business services firm. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Melville, NY office.
Responsibilities
Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
Prepare and submit financial statements
Contribute to month-end and year-end close
Produce financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Support budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
Maintain and reconcile internal balance sheet schedules
Carry out ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3+ years of accounting experience
Public or private accounting background
Analytical and detail-oriented
Advanced Excel skills
