Advantage Truck Group (ATG)
has a job opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead. The Accounts Payable Lead will perform standard AP tasks, including vendor account reconciliations, invoice entry, approval processing, check runs, etc. In addition, the Lead will assist in GL reconciliations, ensure team member cross training, assist in software and process improvements, manage shared email accounts, provide backup for the team, and be the point of contact for projects and escalations. This position in our fast-paced office will provide opportunities to learn and grow within the organization.

Essential Duties
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare weekly accounts payable check runs.
Reconciles large vendor statements utilizing VLookup functionality.
GL Account reconciliations and analysis
Facilitate and provide cross training within department
Provide feedback and options for cost savings measures- vendor discounts, rebates, etc.
Track Use Tax
Audit approval process
Company expense PO GL auditing
AP point of contact for upgrades and implementations
Propose and implement process improvements
First point of contact for escalations within department
Co-Lead department monthly meetings, maintaining meeting minute records
Accounts Payable Specialist Duties
Checks all vouchers and obtains appropriate payment approval.
Matches up purchase orders with invoices.
Possess the ability to handle a high volume of invoices.
Ability to perform data entry with excellent accuracy.
Posts all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis.
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Reconciles statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
Communicates cash requirements for payable dates to management.
Analyzes vendor accounts.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Assists in monthly closings.
Completes credit applications.
Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Excellent follow-through required through AP process of largest vendors.
Generates internal reporting to department heads as needed.
Must be able to work with co-workers, vendors and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Must be proficient in Excel.
Candidates must be extremely organized.
Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
At least 5 years of related experience required.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
