What You’ll Do

As the Director of FP&A, reporting to the VP of FP&A, you will be responsible for leading financial planning and forecasting for ZAGG’s global business. Your expertise and insights will be crucial in providing accurate and timely financial information and analytics to the VP of FP&A, CFO and other senior executives. Your reporting and analytics will be directly used to make critical business decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop a clear understanding of the underlying trends and health of the business in order to support the company’s growth objectives. Other responsibilities include:

Develop and oversee the financial reporting of the business globally ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data and reports.

Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets that align with business goals and strategic initiatives.

Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, and present them to the VP of FP&A and executive leadership, delivering meaningful insights and recommendations.

Collaborate with business partners to develop and implement financial strategies and action plans aimed at improving profitability, cost management, and operational efficiency.

Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes, investment evaluations, and scenario planning.

Assist the VP of FP&A in driving the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and review budgets, track performance, and provide guidance on budgetary control.

Evaluate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, proactively identifying areas of concern and proposing corrective actions.

Manage a team of 3 reports focused on financial planning and data analysis.

Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial planning and analysis, and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record of success in leading forecasting and management reporting teams, preferably in CPG or retail.

Bachelor's degree or MBA with a concentration in finance required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present financial information to a variety of audiences.

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of financial professionals.

Proficient in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel) and financial reporting tools.

Thorough knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools, preferably Power BI.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the capability to effectively interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Ability to lead a team to work together to deliver consistently strong, accurate and timely output.

Location: Preferably Salt Lake City or New York City, but open to strong candidates in other locations.
