As a member of the Operations Finance organization, you will drive critical initiatives to improve the quality and timeliness of insights provided to business leadership, assisting them in understanding financial performance, develop tools to enable proactive financial management, and provide insights to enable critical business decisions. The individual should possess excellent financial acumen and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will be working day to day using Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, Planful (Blue Origin’s Financial Planning tool) and Costpoint (Accounting system). This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.Passion for our mission and vision is required!This role is available on-site in Kent, WA or Merritt Island, FL with relocation provided.Responsibilities:Assist with creation of models for financial reviews, cost benefit analysis, and metricsWork across finance functions to develop reporting and analytics for tactical questionsCreation of content & variance analysis support for financial and operational reviewsLead metrics and financial performance reviews with management across the organizationStrong knowledge of financial statements and performance dashboardsData mining across diverse data sets; Databricks; Redshift; SQLSupport business managers with budget setting and insights to performance driversDrive monthly resource forecasts (Labor, Overhead, Capital) for assigned programsCompile estimate at completion (EACs) at the element and program levelIdentify risk & opportunity with potential solutions; assist with recovery plan developmentAnalyze and report financial performance variances of actuals to budget and forecastCollect data and input into models to highlight financial and business performance metricsSupport key business analytics and key performance indicator generationSupport and assist with internal initiatives for new products for internal customersQualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other highly analytical field5+ years of financial and business analytics experienceControl account management including budget baselining, reforecasting, and variance analysisAbility to develop pricing models based on multiple inputs including market conditions, competition, and other constraintsStrong analytical skill set and high attention to detailExcellent written communication and presentation skillsAdvanced level skills in Microsoft Excel Power Query, Power PivotExperience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver resultsUnderstanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisionsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired:Experience with SQL querying and data miningExperience with TableauExperience with Deltek CostpointExperience working in a Research & Development or Manufacturing environmentMBA, CPA, or Master’s Degree in FinanceCompensation Range for WA applicants:
