Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a hardworking and diverse team of financial analysts supporting Blue Origin’s Supply Chain unit, the Senior Financial Analyst will drive the monthly business rhythm and all major financial planning processes (Monthly Close & Reporting, Annual Operating Plan, and Multi-Year Strategic Plan). This financial lead will operate as the key business partner for the Supply Chain management team. Our team is seeking a proactive individual with excellent financial acumen, knowledge of financial statements, experience with generally accepted accounting principles, and attention to detail that can thrive and support our mission in a fast-paced environment.As a Senior Financial Analyst for the Supply Chain team, you will share in the team’s impact by providing our Supply Chain leaders with high-quality and accurate data to assist them in understanding financial performance, explaining significant variances, and analyzing trends and historic data to enable proactive financial management. This role will report into the Senior Finance Director, Supply Chain and will drive critical initiatives to improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of insights provided to senior and executive leadership.As we look to grow, our reliance on enhanced systems and processes will be key to achieving that goal. This will require the finance team to leverage enhanced data modeling and reporting via systems such as Planful (Blue Origin’s Financial Planning tool), Tableau, SQL applications, and Costpoint (Accounting system). Prior experience with those systems will assist with preparing executive-level briefings on program financial performance, detailing variance analysis to forecast and budget, helping the team meet financial targets/deliver results, while developing financial risks and opportunities. 8+ years of financial reporting experienceUndergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or other highly analytical fieldExcellent written communication and presentation skillsSolid understanding of financial documents and operations performance metricsExperience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver resultsDemonstrated financial reporting experienceAbility to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive cultureMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
