About the Role:
The Client is seeking an experienced Director of Med Surg / ICU to lead and mentor our nursing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous process improvements within the Med Surg and ICU departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide education, direction, and mentorship to the nursing team, aligning their functions with departmental goals and standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with team members to ensure quality patient care and achieve positive patient outcomes through effective communication and coordination.
Education & Compliance:
Offer ongoing education in nursing competency, infection control, employee health, and continuous process improvement, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards set by TJC and CMS.
Quality & Safety:
Oversee infection control practices and ensure nursing team participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Staff Management:
Ensure that all staff licenses and competencies are up-to-date, manage staffing needs by evaluating census, acuity, skill levels, and availability, and participate in clinical components of utilization review.
Problem-Solving:
Address and resolve concerns from staff, physicians, patients, and families promptly, taking immediate action to correct any issues as necessary.
Administrative Duties:
Attend and actively participate in all relevant meetings and huddles.
Qualifications:
Licensure:
Must be a licensed RN in the State of Utah.
Experience:
Med Surg or ICU nursing experience required; a minimum of two years of management or leadership experience.
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
Education:
BSN preferred.

$101,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year
