We’re a leading provider of life insurance, retirement, and investment solutions, serving millions of customers throughout the United States.Job Description SummaryThe Staff Actuary, Traditional Valuation and Model Development will assist in calculating and presenting financial results related to the Traditional Life suite of products. This person will work with a small team within the life valuation actuarial department.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesSupport the model maintenance for the Traditional Life models, including developing, testing, implementing, and documenting model changes in conjunction with performing the necessary controls and interpreting and communicating results.Perform actuarial modeling and analyses to assist in the valuation of the traditional life block, including preparing and analyzing quarterly and annual results and assisting in earnings presentations with management.Provide reports and analyses to management on persistency and mortality experience for various product lines, reserve adequacy, and risk management information.Modernize and maintain current documentation of the Traditional life modeling processes, including quarter-end, assumptions updating, unlocking, financial planning, and cash flow testing.Ongoing adaptation of IFRS 17, continuing to adapt to the new accounting regime.Assist as needed with financial analysis related to the traditional life product line.Maintain thorough documentation of actuarial research and analyses.May represent the company on industry and professional committees and/or with regulators.May supervise a small team of employees.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
