This position will be from the Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.The Cyber Analyst will apply broad DCO technical, operational, and policy expertise in developing defensive maturity concepts and identify capability needs that support a robust Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover (PDRR) methodology for C2BMC. Additionally, this individual will provide comprehensive expertise in defensive cyberspace operations, research, analysis, and capability development, focusing on addressing emerging threats.Essential Functions:

Ability to assist in evaluating the effectiveness, suitability, survivability, and interoperability of systems relating to cybersecurity and provide key feedback to improve the cybersecurity posture of C2BMC systems.Ability to advise C2BMC Command Center (CCC) leadership to support the planning and execution of T&E events.Examine and analyze Cybersecurity architecture, engineering, functionality, and interoperability of C2BMC systems.Must be able to collaborate with system engineers to ensure Cybersecurity is implemented early in the designing, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of MDA Test and Evaluation events.Conduct internal and external systems security assessments and testing utilizing vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools to identify security vulnerabilities in the system architecture.Analyze security findings/weaknesses and work with system engineers to develop a plan of action and milestones to remediate the findings and revalidate applied fixes.Ability to research and develop solutions to emerging cyber threats.Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas confident and well-organized.Knowledge of cybersecurity, network attack, computer network defense, exploitation concepts, practices, and tools for administering all DoD computer systems.Provide Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) planning, execution, and follow-on support for the C2BMC element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Research, develop, and recommend appropriate cybersecurity countermeasures for networks, systems, and/or applications to support mission assurance across defined key cyber terrain.Basic Qualifications:

An active Secret clearance is required to start.5 Years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).Must also meet certification requirements of DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst (CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CYSA+, GCIA, GCIH, GCISP, SCYBER).The position is primarily Monday through Friday; however, after-hour and weekend support may be required to meet operational mission requirements.Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience and sound knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense.Experience within Department of Defense cyber mission forces and/or cyber protection teams or incident response / CERT teams.Python, PHP, Perl, or PowerShell scripting experience.
