Principal Veterinarian

to oversee all aspects of our practice or an

experienced Veterinarian

with the potential to grow into the Principal role to join our growing team!

Job Summary

The Principal Doctor is responsible for comprehensive oversight and accountability across all facets of the hospital, ensuring top-notch veterinary care and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure consistent, high-quality care and safe service.

Partner with the Practice Manager to support hospital operations.

Lead talent acquisition, training, and mentoring of employees.

Support and mentor Associate Doctors.

Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.

Lead community outreach and marketing efforts.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Uphold integrity and ethics in all actions.

Develop direct reports through coaching and mentoring.

Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine.

Drive for results and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Education and Experience

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.

5+ years practicing as a DVM in a hospital setting.

Previous management experience is preferred.

Work Location and Environment

Position performed onsite at our hospital.

Requires 40+ hours per week with potential for 10+ hour shifts.
