The Opportunity:
CACI is looking to hire a Senior level Java Software Engineer to join our team in either Sterling, VA or Chantilly, VA. We aim to rapidly enhance Navy tactical operations by developing advanced shipboard intelligence and warfare systems using open-architecture software and electromagnetic spectrum expertise to facilitate rapid and informed decisions.
This specific team provides foundational software and services to enable health and status management for all system components. Our goal is to enable operator awareness of system state along with automated failure detection and recovery. This will involve creating custom services and integrating OSS tools into a complete solution.
Responsibilities:
Design and document implementation details based on system architecture principles
Create SDKs and APIs to enable efficient adoption of system tools
Integrate OSS tools and utilize open standards to avoid reinventing the wheel
Work with the development and testing team to devise quality and performance related metrics and continuous testing systems
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of DevOps related practices and culture
Lead and mentor a team of developers to achieve program success
Qualifications:
Required:
A minimum of 10 years of experience programming in Java, C++, or Python
Top secret clearance with the ability to receive a TS/SCI
Bachelors or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Solid understanding of complex software design concepts
Scripting languages, for example Python, BASH, or similar
Familiarity with Linux and real time operating systems
Familiarity of IP networking concepts
Familiarity with docker/containerization technologies
Strong analytical Skills (ability to analyze and work through complicated issues)
Excellent communication skills
Effective teamwork skills
Desired:
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with OSS system monitoring technologies
Experience with database programming and cloud technologies
Working knowledge of signal processing fundamentals
Willingness to learn, explain, and apply the best technology for a given application
Pay Range:
$119,800 - $263,600
