Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a UI/UX Developer to work for our company.
Summary:
Client Agency is DHS
Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
Will be responsible for executing customer/user experience (CX/UX) strategies and creating products that engage users.
Will manage the CX/UX related planning, prioritization and decision making. Will advocate for broader CX/UX activities in support as needed.
Will lead and participate in sessions that leverage CX/UX design methods and strategies.
Will translate user needs into concepts, personas, user journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes and visual design prototypes using tools such as Figma, Mural, and Optimal Workshop.
Will conduct and synthesize user research and usability testing and translate those results into designs that will improve products in an iterative fashion.
Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to articulate the CX vision, tradeoffs, and decisions.
Will lead efforts to develop and implement design patterns and information architecture that adhere to brand guidelines for web and mobile design.
Will collaborate with trusted testers to ensure that all front-end design and development work is Section 508 compliant for accessibility.
Will balance user needs with product owner priorities and technical feasibility.
Will drive a plain language content strategy to facilitate an easy-to-understand user experience for all users.
Requirements:
Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
Must have 5+ years of relevant experience.
Must have hands-on and theoretical experience with Agile framework or Agile software delivery.
Hands-on experience with web design.
Hands-on experience with mobile development design.
Must be proficient in human centered design, change management, and the latest CX/UX methods and technology trends.
Must have hands-on experience with the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Must have hands-on experience with digital programming tools.
Must have experience translating user needs into concepts, personas, user journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes and visual design prototypes using tools such as Figma, Mural, and Optimal Workshop.
Must be located within 50 miles of Camp Springs, MD.
