IntroductionThis is a new assembled examination. The eligible list resulting from this examination will cancel any existing list and may last approximately one year, but can be extended. It is home to over 1.6 million people living in 14 incorporated cities as well as six unincorporated communities and rural areas throughout the 821 square miles of the County.THE POSITIONUnder general direction, to analyze department business system needs, and produce, maintain and update software systems to meet those needs. Information Systems Analysts are responsible for gathering requirements, defining problems and recommending solutions, writing program and database design specifications, modifying existing systems and providing production support for users and their systems. Information Systems Analysts may also prepare instructional material for department staff, act as project manager on projects; and perform related duties as required.CURRENT VACANCIESThere are immediate full-time vacancies for this position located within the Health Care Services Agency, Probation Department, and the County Library.
