We have an exciting opportunity available for a
Lead Software Engineer . You would be responsible for applying engineering principles to the design, development, and evaluation of software and systems. You would also implement software for specifications of high complexity for limited scale systems, or medium to high complexity for large-scale systems. If this sounds like an opportunity you are interested in, then we would love to talk to you!About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major, OR equivalent work experience6 years of experience designing/developing, coding, and customizing software applications from product conception to end user interface6 years of experience working with Oracle, SQL, AWS, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL SQL, AND/OR cloud databasesWhat will you be doing in this role?Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.Review other code to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code.Define architecture of software solution.Implement software for specifications of high complexity for limited scale systems, or medium to high complexity for large-scale systems.Implement design changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem-solving techniques.Respond to direct or indirect customer inquiries regarding function and design and attend customer meetings.Design and implement alternative methodologies or techniques to achieve desired results.Maintain understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery methodology.Provide guidance for new procedures as needed for the continuing development of high quality systems.Provide technical training to other team members.Participate in the creation, implementation and administration of departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.Maintain knowledge of technical advances and evaluate new hardware/software for company use.Automate tests and unit tests for all assigned applications.Participate as a team member on various engineering projects and may lead small projects.Write application technical documentation.About the teamYou will be working with an established Software Development & Engineering team, that are experts in data development and analysis. We provide support to library customers all over the world. It is a fast-paced development team working with internal customers and other departments of Clarivate.Hours of WorkFull time, permanentAlthough duties are typically performed during normal business hours, off-hours work/on-call shifts may be required to meet customer and/or business needs.Hybrid working schedule on-site 2-3 days/week.Clarivate is an Equal Opportunity Employer Vets/Minorities/Women/Disabled
