This position is the perfect opportunity for you to show your skills at supporting faculty as they seek out new extramural funding for groundbreaking research. In this position, you will oversee daily operations of promoting, identifying, and managing externally funded grants and contracts for the College of Sciences and Mathematics.Auburn University

The Auburn/Opelika area exudes small-town charm and warmth.Essential FunctionsAssist the Director with managing efforts to identify, capture, and expand extramural funding opportunities.Help faculty to develop competitive grant proposals to foundations, state, and federal funding agencies.Oversee and assist with writing, editing, and proofreading text of contracts and grants.Review and develop

COSAM -level internal controls.Provide support for PIs with large research portfolios.Ensure proposals and grant reports are submitted on time.Perform reviews of grant progress reports and other post-award reporting.Lead new contract and grant award kick-off meetings.Develop educational and informative workshops, classes, materials, and professional development for research admin staff and PIs.Provide proxy delegated authority for grant proposal submission when needed.Supervise contracts and grants specialists.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in science or mathematics, accounting, business, communications, English or related field plus 5 years of experience in developing research opportunities, grant preparation, and grant accounting with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and accountability.Minimum Skills, License, and CertificationsMinimum Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of the nature of research at the university level as well as an understanding of assessment and evaluations, work plan development, and budget development. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.Desired QualificationsDesired Qualifications:Master's degree or higher degree in a science or mathematics related field, accounting, business, communications, English or related field.Posting Detail InformationSalary Range
