The Corporate Controller at MAP is a senior leader who plays a pivotal role in overseeing the finance and accounting functions at both the corporate and client-practice levels, with a strong focus on clinical operations. In this key position, they will work closely with the head of HR and the head of Operations to ensure seamless integration of financial processes and support the growth and development of clinic operations. The Corporate Controller holds strategic decision-making power and collaborates closely with senior leadership in the operations, HR and strategy divisions to implement the organization’s vision.This role is not only about numbers but also about making a significant impact on healthcare. The ideal candidate will have an accounting/finance degree, with at least 10 years of experience ideally in healthcare or related field.As the Corporate Controller, you will take ownership of accounting area for both our corporate and client-practice teams, as well as be a strategic member of the senior leadership team. This role has full end-to-end accountability for all finance and accounting aspects of our businesses. Partnering with the rest of the clinic operation teams, this role provides finance leadership and support for the individual missions of our clinic teams while streamlining accounting processes at our practices.Key Responsibilities:

As the Corporate Controller, your role will include:Provide financial guidance and support to Practice Managers to optimize clinical operations.Work with the senior leadership team in the acquisition of new clients, auditing their financial health, identifying gaps in processes, and streamlining work to deliver exceptional results.Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive financial performance improvements.Manage an incredible accounting/finance team made up of staff accountant, business analyst, OHIP billing specialists in delivering on budgeting, financial projections, AR/AP, and bookkeeping for multiple entities.Work closely with HR and corporate staff in overseeing the payroll and benefits administration processes.Support the head of Operations with operations management, driving efficiency and effectiveness.Provide assistance to the CEO with strategic operations management as necessary.Leverage key performance indicators at each clinic as well as at a consolidated level to better understand results and key levers to pull. Provide financial recommendations based on key data at the clinical level as well as for MAP as a whole.Work with the senior leadership team to develop a multi-year aggressive growth strategy that includes several new acquisitions and identifies new business segments.Analyze existing processes, procedures and systems to identify areas for improvement in financial operations.Provide training and support to the finance teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvement initiatives.Work with our clients’ public accounting firms in delivering year end statements and provide input and guidance on tax strategies as a member of the accounting advisory team.Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in accounting practices and principles, with a good understanding of accounting software.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement.Proficiency in other Microsoft Office software.Detail-oriented and trustworthy, with a keen sense for identifying and addressing minor issues before they escalate.Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.Required Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary degree in accounting or finance.A minimum of ten years of work experience in accounting and financial management.Experience in finance/accounting within the healthcare field is highly valued.Preferred Qualifications
