We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a leading manufacturing and construction company in Santa Ana, CA. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. This position involves managing monthly close procedures, performing reconciliations for multiple entities, and analyzing financial information.Key Responsibilities:Proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger.Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, and assisting with monthly close processes.Conducting monthly bank reconciliations.Recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering intercompany transactions and fixed asset schedules.Ensuring the general ledger and sub-ledgers are reconciled.Organizing and updating financial records.Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts monthly.Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.Ensuring compliance with GAAP.Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities.Developing and maintaining large sets of financial data using Excel and other tools to summarize data for account reconciliation.Preparing for financial audits and directly interacting with auditors.Assisting with special projects and collaborating with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department on monthly reporting and ad hoc financial analysis.Meeting various daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines (including reconciliations).Assisting with audit requests.Performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or Economics.At least 3 years of relevant experience.5-10 years of experience within a corporate enterprise is a plus.Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Familiarity with processes, concepts, methods, and tools for maintaining accurate and thorough records of financial transactions.Knowledge of auditing practices and principles.Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes, and regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn and use job-specific computer programs.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and handling large amounts of data.Self-motivated with superior time management abilities.Excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to operate efficiently and professionally under pressure and meet deadlines.Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
