Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history.Position Overview:Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Administrator-X-Lab Level 2 Systems Maintenance (Engineering) (24-109) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.At X-Lab, our teams strive to build and deliver solutions to our customers' most challenging problems, including cyber-resilient mission systems, in an Agile work environment. Be part of a team that reports to the X-Lab O&S Leadership and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the X-Lab application suites in an experimental environment.Essential Functions:Serve as an X-Lab application subject matter expert, providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break-fix, and preventative maintenance actions.Must be highly skilled in System Administration, Monitoring, Application, and Automated Delivery disciplines to ensure quick and efficient systems delivery in their performance, uptime, and cyber posture.Must have the knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs).In-depth background and experience with Operations and Maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.Excellent experience in system and/or network administration that could include Linux, Windows, Nutanix cloud infrastructure, MDA CLAN, and DISA EM network usage.Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components using bash/perl scripting or Ansible is required.In-depth background and experience in data flow usage and ability to troubleshoot with DISA and MDA network connectivity.Ability to diagnose technical issues, mitigate/troubleshoot issues, and contribute to an on-site team supporting mission systems.Basic Qualifications:An active Secret clearance is required to start.10 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 14 years experience in lieu of a degree.Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).The candidate will maintain DoD 8570 certification for the full contract period.Must be a proven self-starting problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling individual projects and working with limited supervision.This position generally requires regular business hours, but some nights and weekends will occasionally be required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems.Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira.Data mining and analysis, Database Administration, Endpoint Management Products, Automated Patch Management.Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.What We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.Salary Range:
