Job Description
The successful candidate will be motivated, self-driven, open to learning, and a team player. Must be willing to work ON-SITE 100%. Will be a vital and key member of the Accounting team's goals, objectives, and success. Will be a key player to complete month-end close and provide the Accounting department leadership with useful information for decision-making purposes.
Job Duties
Participate in all aspects of the monthly financial close process, prepare/review journal entries, and ensure entries include valid supporting documents.Ensure general ledger account roll forwards, reconciliations, and analyses are completed in accordance with company policies and timely.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.Assist in the research of financial statement variances.Execute on improvements to the month-end close process.Execute internal control policies and procedures to ensure delivery of reliable financial statements.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting (no exceptions).Must have a professional reference and pass a 7-year background check.Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a professional firm.Good computer skills (MS Excel) and able to pass an online assessment.Must have analytical skills, be detail-oriented, organized, and focused on meeting goals timely.Be a team player to meet client's needs and expectations.Be able to deliver high-quality work that is timely, accurate, and professional.CPA or Master's Degree in accounting a plus (not a must).Experience in a Big 4 or 8 firm a plus.Being familiar with statutory filings and/or accounting practices a plus but not required.
