The goal of TRM is to ensure that technology, cyber/information security, resiliency, data, and technology third-party risks are clearly understood by the first line of defense (1LOD), transparently reported through governance, and managed within the defined risk appetite and risk management framework.Reporting Line:Senior Specialist, Technology Risk Management

will have a dual reporting line functionally reporting into the Director, Technology Risk Management and locally to the TRM regional lead in Poland, within the Technology Risk Management function.Role Overview:Vice President – Resiliency Risk Management

is a Technology Resiliency Risk expert within the global Technology Risk management function of BNY Mellon. This is a 2nd line risk function accountable for oversight and credible challenge of the Technology department and the Lines of Businesses to ensure effective management of their Technology Resiliency risks. The candidate will have a strong technical understanding of Resiliency Risk (including industry frameworks, standard tools, and techniques) and its related domains. Title in the contract: VP Technology Risk Management Manager II. This role is in Wroclaw (HYBRID).Responsibilities:Evaluate the design of controls owned by front line functions to identify control gaps, review, and disposition these gaps, and track actions to resolution.Evaluate the effectiveness of record keeping and implementation of business continuity plans.Partner with the 1st Line of defense and assess their compliance with enterprise-level resiliency policies.Support execution of control assessment process to validate the effectiveness of completed resiliency controls to determine any required enhancements to improve performance.Participate in industry forums for resiliency risk management to identify industry trends.Assess regulatory changes impacting areas of resiliency risk and control assessment to determine and implement any actions as required.Lead the assessment, monitoring, and reporting of resiliency risks inherent to business activities.Enforce relevant risk policies.Apply understanding of systems and solutions architecture, data architecture, software development, operations, system life cycle, technical controls, etc. to anticipate resiliency risks inherent to the assigned areas of technology.Qualifications:The candidate must have significant experience in risk management, and leading practices for control design and implementation.The candidate must have strong communication skills and demonstrate a record of accomplishment and excellence in delivery.Strong relationship management skills and ability to partner with a large array of constituents; ability to manage and influence change.Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.8 to 10 years of work experience required, financial services industry experience is a plus.Relevant professional certifications would be a plus.Appetite for learning is also a must – opportunity to work on state-of-the-art technologies and participate in associated industry forums.Prior work experience supporting a large, regulated institution, preferably financial services would be a plus.BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
