The goal of TRM is to make sure that technology, cyber/information security, resiliency, data and technology third party risks are clearly understood by the first line of defense (1LOD), transparently reported through governance and managed within the defined risk appetite and risk management framework.Reporting Line:Vice President – Cyber Risk

will have a dual reporting line functionally reporting into Director, Technology Risk Management and locally to TRM regional lead in Poland, within the Technology Risk Management function.Role Overview:Vice President – Cyber Risk

is a Technology Cyber Risk expert within the global Technology Risk management function of BNY. This is a 2nd line risk function accountable for oversight and credible challenge of the Technology department and the Lines of Businesses to ensure effective management of their technology risks. The candidate will have strong technical understanding of Cyber Security (including industry frameworks, standard tools and techniques) and its related domains, including but not limited to vulnerability management, cloud technologies, zero trust, etc. and be comfortable with providing oversight and challenge/suggestions around alternative methods of approaching technology risk remediation within the domain to strengthen the front line. Title in the contract: VP Technology Risk Management Manager II, This role is in Wroclaw (HYBRID).Responsibilities:Provide oversight and challenge across the 1st Line of defense and assess Cyber risks.Act as a thought leader and apply understanding of cyber security controls and weaknesses to anticipate technology risks inherent to the assigned areas of technology.Leads the assessment, monitoring and reporting on technology risks inherent to business activities, including cyber and technology risk concepts.When needed, extend support to team members on different types of risk assessments and metrics oversight in Cyber space.Prepare or participate in the preparation of executive level reports for regulators and senior stakeholders.Applies influence to ensure the availability of technology risk input requirements, to build consensus on risk mitigation and remediation strategies among global and/or regional stakeholder groups.No direct reports, provide guidance to more junior team members and assign tasks, as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.8 to 10 years of work experience required, financial services industry experience is a plus.Experience in supporting or working on regulatory engagements preferred.Technical understanding of Cyber Security related domains.Prior experience in Cyber/Information Security & Technology Risk is preferred. Relevant industry certification is a plus. (AWS/Azure/GCP, CCSA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.)Demonstrated expertise in running risk assessments and reporting processes, understanding what is appropriate and aligns with Technology Risk and ability to drive best practices into the wider organization.Strong communication skills to articulate risk related topics clearly across stakeholders.Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward in a collaborative manner.BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
