(Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following):Designs, develops, and maintains backend services and APIs using languages such as C#, TypeScript, JavaScript (NodeJS), Java, or PythonWrites clean, efficient, and well-documented codeImplements security protocols and data protection measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systemsImplements APIs and integrates with third-party services as neededCreates and maintains technical documentation and metadataProactively triages operational alarms, exceptions, and failures while seeking the root cause, communicating with the right parties, and contributing to the resolution.Identifies areas for improvements and recommends solutionsCollaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to discover needs and define business requirements and goalsDevelops and maintains relationships with stakeholders across the organization, communicating insights, findings, and recommendationsParticipates in the development and implementation of best practices, policies, and proceduresQualifications
(To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this job.)3+ years of experience in software engineering, or related fieldProficiency and experience in multiple programming languages such as C#, TypeScript, JavaScript (NodeJS), Java, or PythonKnowledge of backend frameworks and technologies such as .NET Core, Django, Flask, Spring, and GraphQLExperience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.Experience with distributed systems, parallel processing, microservices, caching, serverless and containerization technologiesExperience with SQL and integrating backends and APIs with relational database servers including Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, or NoSQL servers such as MongoDB and Redis, preferably in a cloud environmentSolid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.Experience with modern source control, test automation, and CI/CD tools and practicesExperience managing infrastructure projects.Experience with API design and developmentExperience with statistical analysis and problem-solving techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamBe someone who stays up to date with emerging technologies and best practicesThe expected salary range for this position is between:$80,340.00 - $126,593.00The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Benefits
