As a developer on the team, you’ll drive improvements of our technology, collaborating with awesome engineers and highly-engaged users to continuously release our products. We work very closely with our grocery store Site Leads and Associates to help drive efficiency in all facets of Grocery Operations and are not bound by one particular approach, technology or solution. We’re truly an agile shop: we work closely with users, deliver features with high frequency, can pivot on a dime when needed, and are passionate about test coverage, refactoring and paying off technical debt. Engineers will create designs or participate in the design reviews of others on the team. Members will also work with leadership and our product teams to create the most optimal experiences for our site leads and associates.A day in the lifeOur SDEs work in a highly collaborative environment where you will respectfully interact with team members in daily stand-ups, design reviews, retrospectives and identifying solutions to improve and optimize all of our grocery sites.Basic Qualifications5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPreferred Qualifications5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
