Vice President, Controller
with
Real Estate/REIT industry experience
and strong public company accounting experience to include
SEC reporting
to join their team and drive excellence in financial management and reporting.Main Accountabilities:This position is responsible for all financial accounting functions of the company, which includes day-to-day operations of the accounting department: cash management, accruals, allocations, accounts payable, fixed assets, taxes and reporting, balance sheet review, expense reporting, payroll, purchasing and general ledger control.This role will also be responsible for financial reporting including monthly and quarterly financial close process, SEC reporting, revenue recognition, corporate accounting policies, technical GAAP research and analysis, and external audit oversight and SOX compliance.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.Additional Information:Reporting directly to the CAOCareer Advancement Opportunity: Path to CAO in the next 3-5 yearsCompany revenues 700-800M+Real Estate Industry spaceLeadership role: opportunity to mentor/manage an incredible teamQualifications and Proficiencies:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field.Big 4

experience required (or regional accounting firm).CPA
required with 10+ years accounting experience, as well as publicly traded companies.Real Estate industry experience is required . Real Estate Investment Trusts ( REIT ) preferred!Broad experience in revenue recognition.Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures,
GAAP
accounting principles and
SEC reporting
requirements.Strong technical accounting skills with demonstrated
revenue recognition
experience, as well as solid knowledge of
Sarbanes-Oxley /internal control frameworks.Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.**This role offers a base salary up to $225k+ with a LARGE annual bonus, RS Grant and benefit package. Potential for career growth!
