Agility Partners is seeking a qualified API Gateway Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This exciting opportunity allows you to work at the forefront of financial technology, driving innovation in API management and service mesh infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of API communications in a high-stakes financial environment.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage an API Gateway and architecture using Apigee, ensuring compliance with financial industry standards.Configure and manage service-to-service communication using Apigee, including traffic management features like routing and load balancing.Enforce security policies using mTLS and Apigee’s security capabilities, adhering to financial sector standards.Monitor and analyze API metrics to improve observability and troubleshoot issues.Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to integrate applications into the API ecosystem.Stay current with the latest service mesh technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:Proficiency in API architecture and applications like Google Apigee, IBM Datapower, or MSFT APIM.Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional teams and open-source community collaboration.Ability to analyze and optimize system performance, security, and reliability for the financial domain.Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools to improve observability.
