10020 - 3962 Cardiac UltrasoundThis position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.Position Summary:Performs all types of Cardiac Ultrasound procedures including Transthoracic Echocardiogram, Treadmill Stress Echocardiograms, and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.Major Responsibilities:Performs specialized or general procedures according to established departmental protocols.Performs ultrasound procedures for Cardiac Ultrasound procedures and other specific areas as required.Operates all types of Ultrasound equipment. Performs portable exams in various areas throughout the hospital, including the Operating Room and Intensive Care Units. Records images and makes hard copies where applicable.Uses IDXrad to schedule and complete exams as applicable. Processes labels, folders, and films.Serves as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:Required:Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, under the ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties.Experience/Skills:Also cover some on-call and off-site locations may be required as needed.We're striving to make respect a part of everything we do at UMass Memorial Health - for our patients, our community, and each other.
