Additionally, this position comes with the option of a hybrid work schedule, combining working in our Houston office with working remotely.Job Purpose/SummaryThe Communications Senior Analyst is a critical member of Plains’ Employee Communications team, responsible for developing and executing North American internal communications.The Communications Senior Analyst will focus on cross-functional, internal collaboration to develop effective internal communication strategies, including (i) providing tailored communications support to key internal customers, (ii) helping to define and facilitate communications best practices across the organization, and (iii) driving consistent messaging themes across the organization. The Communication Senior Analyst will achieve these aims by (i) building relationships, (ii) developing subject matter fluency and embedding in internal customers’ annual planning, and (iii) guiding development and execution of annual communication plans.Job ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the business fundamentals, vision, strategy, culture, and long-term goals that inform Plains’ approach to employee engagement.Create clear, persuasive multi-year, multi-channel communications.Build strong relationships with peers and senior leaders to understand priorities and help craft messages that support business objectives and engage employees.Support executive communications including company and department-wide meetings and other messages spanning a diversity of channels.Collaborate with change management practitioners on tactics that align with existing corporate communications approaches.Support the effective cascade of information throughout the organization, tailoring messages for relevant audiences.Partner with Employee Communications colleagues and teammates from other key functions to align messaging across channels and audiences.Help define and promote the adoption of internal communications best practices across the organization.Assess and improve communications processes and systems on an ongoing basis.Support crisis communications needs as required.Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or a related discipline, and a minimum of 7 years prior related experience.Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Experience working with organizational leaders on company-wide communications.Experience with video production and graphic design preferred.Knowledge & SkillsCommunications expertise including excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills.Ability to persuasively communicate complex concepts concisely and effectively.Ability to deliver high-quality results quickly while working under pressure.Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.Ability to quickly evaluate situations, determine key issues, recommend solutions, and implement the approved course of action.Strong work ethic and keen attention to detail.Highest standard of personal and professional integrity.Ability to work overtime as needed and travel ~10%.Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.At Plains, our employees are our most valuable asset.
