Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) is hiring a motivated Sr DevOps/Linux Systems Engineer to support a cutting-edge modeling and analytics framework in support of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). On this program, you will have the opportunity to work with technical leaders in cloud computing and data analytics to re-architect, modernize, and operationalize a critical tool leveraged across the IC to make real-time, mission-critical decisions. Candidates must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Candidates must be open to obtaining a CI Poly as well. Candidates must be self-motivated who can understand technical concepts and collaborate on technical direction on a small team in an agile environment.Responsibilities:
Hands-on engineering, operations, and maintenance of scalable IT infrastructureAdministration of Linux servers in a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment; experience with AWS is highly desiredWorking with DevOps processes and toolsets to support software teams in dev, test, and production environmentsWorking both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment.Coordinating with Information System Security Officers to ensure all standards and best practices are implemented in system architectureAssisting external customers with development and troubleshooting of IT and software systemsEncouraging and building automated processes wherever possibleIdentifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk managementMonitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIsQualifications:
Experience working on Linux based infrastructure5+ years' Linux system administrator experience with AWS building and managing highly-available, fault-tolerant systems (i.e. EC2, VPC, ELB, IAM, Autoscaling)Expertise with Kubernetes containerization and clustering in productionExperience implementing CI/CDConfiguration and managing databases such as Postgres, MongoExperience with server configuration management or infrastructure automation tools (i.e. Ansible, Puppet)Scripting experience (i.e. Bash/shell, Python)Excellent troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of Agile development processesActive TS/SCICompTIA Security+, or IAT II certificationIf interested in learning more about this opportunity, please send your resume to [insert email here].EEO Disclaimer
