The OpportunityThe CoE CIS Tech ITSG Infrastructure team provides systems administration related to data center management, server hardware, server operating systems, server applications installations and configurations, network infrastructure, and computing resources in a complex environment comprising of Linux and Windows Servers, and VMware virtualization platform.This role is responsible for administering systems infrastructure, core server applications, and networking and securities.Duties and activities include:Participate and develop ITSG & CIT hosted infrastructure environments.Maintain and enhance existing units' infrastructure.Implement infrastructure solutions in accordance with University Policy 5.10, Information Security.Implement procedures for system administration to ensure stability and reliability of CoE CIS Tech system infrastructure.What We NeedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;

three (3) - five (5) years'

additional experience with Linux operating systems and system management techniques.Solid working knowledge of

Linux (Ubuntu)

server administration.Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Operating System family.Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Excellent understanding of computer hardware, TCP/IP networking, and network security issues.Initiative to provide high-quality service.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, complex, team-based environment.Tact and diplomacy with a flexible and positive approach.Effective written and verbal communication.Ability to juggle multiple priority tasks.Strong service orientation.Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.*A cover letter and resume are required for further consideration for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of Linux utilities and services.Experience working in a virtualized environment (VMware).Experience working in cloud environment (AWS, Azure).Experience with shell scripting languages and automation.Experience with managing network switches.Knowledge of Linux clustering.What We OfferUniversity Job Title:
