Facebook .About the Role:Responsible for developing and maintaining platforms, patterns, pipelines, assets & BI solutions for cross-functional data operations & analytics. This position will lead the analytics engineering discipline within IT. They will deliver data curation & BI solutions that demonstrate practical iteration, flexibility to change, and resilience to common processing challenges. This position also seeks to empower others to adopt successful patterns & practices, increasing data ownership & contribution across business & IT functions.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for helping people access & use data effectively. They have deep experience with data modeling challenges & design trade-offs and create practical solutions from complex problems. They have pharmaceutical experience and bring an understanding of relevant data sources, modeling needs & use cases – especially those pertaining to Commercial Sales & supporting functions.Your Contributions (include, but not limited to):Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align on project goals and methodologiesApply domain-driven design to break down complex business problemsOversee the lifecycle of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectivesCollaborate with stakeholders to define & manage business rulesProfile and communicate data quality issues to appropriate stakeholdersNegotiate and address data quality concerns with upstream providersDeliver curated data models to support individual & cross-functional use casesCreate and maintain metadata that supports privacy, cost allocation, AI & business needsDevelop resilient transformation pipelines to structure data & trigger action when neededDesign & troubleshoot processes with complex requirements (e.g. low latency, precision)Develop and collaborate on BI solutionsDevelop semantic models, calculations & metricsAdminister platforms and features relevant to the analytics engineering functionAdhere to security, privacy and regulatory policies and guidelinesAuthor solution design documentationMentor team members and business contributors in analytics engineering practicesMonitor data utilization and bring awareness to the relative cost & value of data assetsPartner with data governance stakeholdersRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 6+ years in an analytical capacity in conjunction with the development/maintenance of a reporting library, experience using Tableau Software (inclusive of both Tableau and Tableau CRM) or other business intelligence solutions ORMaster's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 4+ years as noted aboveHas knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts of related business disciplinesWorks to improve tools and processes within functional areaDeveloping reputation inside the company as it relates to area of expertiseAbility to work as part of and lead multiple teamsExhibits leadership skill and ability, typically leads lower levels and/or indirect teamsExcellent communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skillsSees broader picture, impact on multiple departments/divisionsAbility to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects/programs, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiencyExcellent project management skillsExpert level knowledge of Data Modeling and Business Intelligence Solution development, including translating business requirements into technical requirements and data modelsDemonstrated expertise with data flow orchestrationStrong knowledge of Git/GitHub, Jira, and Agile workflows a plusExpert knowledge in one or more of each of the following technology stacks/competencies: Cloud: AWS, Azure; Data Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake; Data Transformation: SQL, Python; Transformation Frameworks: Databricks DLT, dbtWell-versed in data profiling, data manipulation and/or data analysis. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
