Job OverviewA law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Senior-Level Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trusts and estates planning and administration, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and families. This role requires extensive experience in drafting complex estate planning and financial documents, as well as providing strategic advice on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Advise high-net-worth clients on estate planning, trusts, and estate administration matters.

Develop and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies tailored to clients’ needs.

Draft and review complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related financial documents.

Handle business succession planning and asset protection strategies.

Provide guidance on minimizing income tax, gift tax, and estate tax consequences.

Manage multiple estate planning matters independently and proactively.

Collaborate with clients, their families, and their advisors to achieve optimal outcomes.

Keep current with developments in estate planning and tax law.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trusts and estates administration, and estate and gift tax planning.

Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing core and complex estate planning and financial documents.

Prior experience at a regional or national law firm or a well-regarded local firm.

Preferred Qualifications

LL.M. in Taxation.

Strong understanding of tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
