Duties and Responsibilities
Advise high-net-worth clients on estate planning, trusts, and estate administration matters.
Develop and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies tailored to clients’ needs.
Draft and review complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related financial documents.
Handle business succession planning and asset protection strategies.
Provide guidance on minimizing income tax, gift tax, and estate tax consequences.
Manage multiple estate planning matters independently and proactively.
Collaborate with clients, their families, and their advisors to achieve optimal outcomes.
Keep current with developments in estate planning and tax law.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trusts and estates administration, and estate and gift tax planning.
Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing core and complex estate planning and financial documents.
Prior experience at a regional or national law firm or a well-regarded local firm.
Preferred Qualifications
LL.M. in Taxation.
Skills
Highly skilled in drafting and reviewing estate planning and financial documents.
Strong understanding of tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and manage matters independently.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
