Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC , established in 2009, is a growing behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. Northpoint has grown from two facilities to fifteen today entirely on a de novo basis with plans to expand rapidly in both existing and new markets. POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Director of Nursing is a registered nurse responsible for ensuring that quality medical care is coordinated and delivered to patients through careful management of staff and other resources. The Director of Nursing plays a critical role in the recruitment and development of a multidisciplinary team of professionals, as well as managing complex projects that span multiple departments. This person will collaborate with other internal leaders to review/recommend changes in medications used, healthcare policy, health insurance, and other industry trends.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Manage the frontline nursing staff and ensure continual delivery of excellent patient care.

Work closely with the Medical Director to coordinate patient care, provider appointments, and medication protocols; ensure medical care is in line with established policy and procedure.

Provide on-call services for facility.

Maintain nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Familiarity with The Joint Commission accreditation requirements; take an active role in maintaining Joint Commission audits and continual readiness within the facility.

Participate in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses.

Supervise, educate, coach, acknowledge, and discipline nursing staff.

Manage and develop work-based teams for assigned shifts, train new staff, and lead the nursing team.

Create and maintain a comprehensive schedule to meet all shift requirements.

Resolve a variety of patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.

Maintain a cooperative relationship among the nursing team and other staff by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods.

Manage Northpoint’s Infection Control Program.

Manage Vivitrol education, ordering, and insurance claim processing.

Manage FMLA and Short Term Disability paperwork for patients.

Perform Utilization and Peer-to-Peer reviews as requested by the Billing team.

Act as liaison for facility-related matters with contracting vendors.

Complete medical pre-screen on all potential admissions to facility.

Respond to all incident reports.

Provide hands-on care to patients; perform all duties of a Registered Nurse.

Audit charts for procedure compliance.

Document information regarding patient care and behavior as required in policies and procedures.

Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile patients to maintain personal safety as well as ensuring safety for the patient and other individuals in the unit.

Participate in patient treatment planning and implementation.

Participate in the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe environment and report needs for repairs and maintenance to appropriate staff.

Comply with all laws, regulations, and scope of licensure.

Monitor patients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate medical treatment and interventions.

Document medical assessment, diagnosis, progress notes, roundings, and other treatment planning items in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care.

Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times.

Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility.

Provide medical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care.

Other medically appropriate services and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where services are rendered, at hire and throughout the entire duration of employment.

Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU).

Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and an internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our care.

4+ years of nursing experience required.

1+ year inpatient residential experience preferred.

1+ year of nursing leadership experience preferred.

Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements throughout duration of employment.

Ability to work with a diverse population along with interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating patients in area of assigned specialty.

Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients.

Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:

Must hold an active Registered Nurse license in the state where treatment services are rendered.

Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employment.

Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Must maintain current nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct supervisor for Nursing staff.

Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Nursing Department.

COMPENSATION:

$90,000-100,000/year

HOURS:

Monday-Friday 8-6pm CST
