If this proof is not provided within this timeframe, the offer may be rescinded or employment terminated.Position Summary/Purpose of Position:Join our team to be a part of the exciting transformation as we migrate UMD computing systems to a modern cloud-based solution. The Software Engineer, Workday Integration will use Workday integration code including Studio, EIB, Reports, and BIRTs as part of the Workday Student implementation. The position is hands-on, agile, team-based development.The Software Engineer is responsible for:Implementing solutions within a development team.Following a formal development methodology and working within scheduled timelines.Participating in peer code reviews, documentation, and formal testing.This position is considered an essential position and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergencies to help maintain continuity of University services.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:3-5 years of professional experience supporting the operations, maintenance, and administration of information technology infrastructure.Other:Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to follow directions from more senior team members but also able to work independently.Basic mentorship to junior staff members.A demonstrated commitment to customer service.Ability to effectively manage workload and delivery assignments on time.Skilled in the use of office productivity software such as Office 365 or Google Workspaces.Preferences:Experience with Workday’s Integration Framework.Experience developing technical integrations from beginning to end.Experience with ETL and/or Report development platforms.This position does not provide sponsorship for Visas.Job Risks:Not Applicable to This PositionPhysical Demands:Sedentary work.
