Within three great communities, Cranston, East Greenwich, and Narragansett, we are proud to have received RI Monthly’s Best Breakfast, Providence Journal’s Best Breakfast and Brunch, and Providence Monthly’s Number One Reason to get up in the morning!With a commitment to carefully sourcing local food and products around the New England area, with an eye on sustainability and a partnership with family-owned farms and businesses, we support real food, fresh ingredients, local purveyors, and sustainable choices whenever possible.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe goal of the Server (Hospitality Specialist) is to create a place of welcome for all guests, provide informed, knowledgeable and timely food and beverage service, while maintaining a safe, clean and tidy setting.DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIESArrive on time, in proper attire, with a smile, as all three are required to achieve our goal of legendary guest hospitality and service experience.Obtain daily directives by reviewing section schedule, running side duties and daily pre-shift briefings.Head to assigned section and take account to ensure order, tidiness and all required details are in place.Provide a Welcome Greeting to the guests that is sincere and unique to T’s ensuring that all guests feel at home and comfortable at the start of their T’s experience!Provide knowledgeable, informed beverage and food service selections.Be able to answer questions regarding food and beverage items, allergy protocol, and history.Acquire food and beverage selections, enter to point-of-sale system.Serve beverage with a tray, as the preferred method and food in a timely manner.Ensure food and guest safety by maintaining a clean and tidy restaurant throughout the day and by performing side duties at the start and end of each shift.Observe the guest dining throughout the entire experience with check backs.Support your teammates and the T’s guest throughout the day keeping in mind that all guests are our guests.Provide a Grateful finale! You will like this position if you have a passion for sharing smiles and being part of a team committed to hospitality excellence.Education and experience:High school diploma with a continuous record of learning.Minimum 2 years of service experience in a full-service restaurant.Ability to Speak, Read and Write English.Serve Safe Alcohol Certification.Professional Requirements:A desire to provide genuine hospitality and care of people.Pleasant and polite.Strong guest service skills with a passion for hospitality.Ability to coordinate, multitask and remain composed.Physical Settings and Schedule:Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
