Govini has offices in Arlington, Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Data Quality Analyst who will play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity and quality across the organization. This role will report to the Data Operations business unit and will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and documenting data quality. The role involves proactive issue identification, reporting, and collaborative problem-solving with cross-functional teams.In order to do this job well, you will have strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and outstanding communication. You have a strong sense of personal ownership in maintaining high-quality data assets essential for informed decision-making and operational efficiency. You love data.This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Pittsburgh, PA, and may require up to 10% travel.Scope of Responsibilities
Support the constant monitoring of data quality through the monitoring, enhancement, and development of data quality dashboards, tools, and metrics.Identify data quality issues and anomalies by analyzing data and reports and perform root cause analyses to inform solutions.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data quality procedures, including data dictionaries, data lineage, data quality rules, data quality issues, resolutions, and improvement recommendations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and challenges and ensure data quality standards are met.Provide internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower team members in understanding and maintaining data quality.Communicate data quality metrics to key stakeholders.Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required.Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Information Systems).2-4 years of professional experience as an analyst or similar skill set.Proven experience in data quality monitoring, data analysis, and documentation.Strong knowledge of data quality tools and techniques.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python).Understanding of data governance and regulatory compliance.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership for data quality.Desired Skills:
Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship.Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment.Experience and interest in National Security.Experience working on agile/scrum teams.Familiarity with Git source control management.We firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance.
