As an IT Operations Manager, you will be crucial in managing the daily operations of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the Director of IT to ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems, networks, and services, aligning them with company goals and IT strategic objectives. This role requires a mix of technical proficiency, strategic vision, and leadership to guide your team and foster ongoing improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!This role is hybrid and will require 3 days a week onsite at our Somerville, MA office.What you'll do:
Oversee the daily operations of the System and Network Administration team, including infrastructure, systems, and network management.Lead IT projects, including upgrades and infrastructure improvements, with the ability to take on the role of solutions architect when appropriate.Monitor performance and availability of systems, prepare and present reports on IT Operations performance and improvement initiatives.Manage and resolve IT incidents and problem escalations, ensuring a timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.Develop and maintain the IT Operations budget and participate in the IT procurement process.Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to IT Operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.What you'll bring:
5-7 years of experience as an IT Operations Manager or equivalent role managing a team of IT professionals.Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, platforms, and technologies, including but not limited to Windows Operating systems, virtualization, cloud computing, network protocols, and security principles. Experience with Linux, Gemini, and/or Copilot is a plus.Experience with RMM tools such as Connectwise Automate or Kaseya VSA, as well as other organizational tools like IT Glue, MyITProcess, and Addigy.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Azure, Intune, and SharePoint.
