2019-2024 Computerworld Best Places to Work in ITWhat you'll be doing:Program Oversight: Monitor and manage TQL's portfolio of IT programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement PMO strategies, methodologies, and standards to ensure program alignment with organizational goals.Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively across programs, balancing workload and optimizing team performance.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to minimize impact on program outcomes.Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication with program stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status and performance.Reporting: Ensure transparent and accurate reporting to IT and business leadership, providing insights and updates on program progress and challenges.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve program management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and upskill the program management team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Department Governance: Design, develop, implement, and monitor department policies, processes, and procedures.What you need:Experience: Proven experience in IT program management, with a track record of successfully managing complex programs and leading PMO functions.Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP), or similar certifications preferred.Education: Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Knowledge: In-depth understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.Skills: Strong leadership, communication, influencing, coaching, and organizational skills. Adept at defining and implementing new processes, as well as iterating on existing ones.Attributes: Self-driven to work independently and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
