Job SummaryAssists the BMP team at the Elowitz lab by performing tasks related to the passage, maintenance, and cryopreservation of cell cultures, including human stem cells. Carries out various experiments involving cells, including qPCR, cloning, transfections, flow cytometry, and fluorescent imaging analysis. Participates in planning meetings and assists with overall laboratory operations.Essential Job DutiesCell Culture Maintenance: Perform cell culture passage, maintenance, and cryopreservation techniques for various cell lines, including human stem cells.Experimentation and Data Collection: Conduct experiments and collect data using techniques such as flow cytometry, PCR, and fluorescent imaging.Experimental Setup and Sample Preparation: Set up experiments, including transfections, and prepare samples for analysis following experiments.Meeting Participation and Reporting: Attend planning meetings, provide progress reports, and contribute to project discussions.Basic QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.Preferred QualificationsMaster of Science degree in a relevant field.Experience in cell culture techniques, especially human stem cells.Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as qPCR, cloning, transfections, flow cytometry, and fluorescent imaging analysis.Required DocumentsResume
