OT on an Exempt Contract Contingent Basis Key Personnel | Sr. Engineer / Scientist Labor Category - STD Level Exempt Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541620 located CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The role supports a federal agency within the Dept of Defense, providing critical engineering services to strengthen national security, support economic growth, and mitigate disaster risks focusing on flood management, environmental restoration, and military construction across the Missouri River Basin.Responsibilities and DutiesServe as a member of The Engagement Team as "Key Management Personnel" and work to develop and oversee chemical testing protocols; ensure quality control in lab procedures; interpret chemical data. The Program Chemist should have general knowledge of remedial process chemistry, fate, and transport of organics and inorganics, knowledge of chemical quality control, and experience with validation software and staged electronic data deliverables. The Chemist shall be experienced in the sampling and analysis of toxic/hazardous chemicals in environmental matrices. Demonstrated experience with emerging contaminants will be beneficial.QualificationsDesired Qualifications For Program Chemist | Environmental Management [USACE011016]: Extensive knowledge of chemical analysis techniques; experience in environmental chemistry. The Program Chemist will be required to have advanced expertise in chemical data quality management of environmental analytical data and demonstrate an understanding of the UFP QAPP. The Program Chemist shall have a college degree in chemistry or a related program from an accredited four (4) year program and a minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience in ERS-related work.Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications10+ years in chemistry; experience in managing chemical analysis programs. | Bachelor's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.Skills RequiredSkills Required: Chemical analysis, lab management, quality control, data interpretation. | Professional Licensure: Certified Chemist (CChem) or equivalent preferred.Competencies RequiredExcellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.Other RequirementsU.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen.
