Systems Engineer - DevOps . This position will be located in Dulles, VA and will support Tactical Space Systems Division in their development and deployment of satellite ground software to customer resources. As a member of the Platform scrum team, you will engineer solutions that are aimed at (1) streamlining software development processes through automation, (2) identifying and implementing tools for cybersecure software development and automated deployments, and (3) providing detailed process documentation. This Systems Engineer will also be the EOL/EOS Process Lead for the ground software system. The software dependency list is comprised of all third party, COTS/GOTS, open-source software and associated version number incorporated into the ground software.What You'll Get to Do:Understanding the latest industry methodologies and tools for Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)Designing and guiding the implementation of new systems and process improvementsMaintaining documentation on system administration standards, best practices, and quality improvements, ensuring that Systems Administration processes, procedures, and documentation remain up-to-date and consistent with current technologiesIn the role of EOL/EOS Process Lead, the candidate will manage all aspects (creation, maintenance, process, products, etc.) of the ground system software dependencies list, coordinating with the Chief SW Engineer, Chief Architect, Confirmation Management, Software Development, DevOps and Cyber. Work with other development scrum to examine upgrade impacts and estimate schedule and cost of upgradeResearching and recommending innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for system administration tasksRaising schedule delays and problems as they occur to get blockers and impediments removed as quickly as possibleTo Be Successful in this role you will need:Demonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approachesDemonstrated ability to work through issues and obstacles to include developing alternate approaches or solutionsDemonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and Systems thinking mindsetStrong DevOps understanding and Agile familiarizationStrong MBSE experienceThis position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal Engineer level.Basic Qualifications:Principal EngineerA minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years of experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years with a PhD. $107,300 - $160,900Salary Range 2:

$133,000 - $199,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
