We are helping a company hire full-time Network & Systems Admins for their Greater Chicago office. This company helps simplify your shipping process. This candidate should have at least one year of hands-on experience independently managing diverse hardware and software deployments in enterprise-grade environments.
The ideal applicant should be adept at discussing implementation projects and upgrades with team members, while also collaborating effectively with third-party software vendors to integrate new technologies. Practical knowledge of Palo Alto systems, VMware, AWS, cybersecurity practices, Windows Server management, and networking concepts is essential. This role involves maintaining and updating our technological infrastructure, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and remain current with industry standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Implement security measures and migrate legacy systems to modern solutions.Manage IT infrastructure for 24/7 operations, including servers, workstations, and networks.Administer systems: user/group management, security permissions, group policies, and resource monitoring.Configure and maintain laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network components.Deploy network monitoring tools to enhance performance and resiliency.Perform regular system audits and backups.Experience with programming languages, operating systems, enterprise backup, VMware/Hyper-V, KnowBe4, Palo Alto Systems, and Google Workspace.Desired Skills & Experience
3-5+ years of experience.Bachelor’s degree (required).Preferred: Cloud computing (AWS), project management, application integrations, relevant certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA).What You Will Be Doing
