Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Aliso Viejo, CA. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in litigation with at least 5 years of experience. They will be responsible for handling a heavy caseload, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court.Key Responsibilities:Conduct witness interviews to gather relevant information.Prepare pleadings and respond to discovery requests.Appear in court on behalf of clients, arguing motions during legal proceedings.Conduct depositions, including taking and defending them.Perform thorough legal research to support case strategies.Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal counsel and analyzing their needs.Prepare for and attend trials and arbitration sessions.Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs.Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies.Collaborate with clients to provide proper legal guidance and course of action.Requirements:Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.5+ years of experience in litigation.Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.Trial experience is a plus.Ability to work independently while managing a heavy caseload.Proficiency in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis).Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Must currently be a member of their local Bar association; active member preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.Skills:Strong analytical and legal research skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.Proficiency in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis).Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Effective interpersonal and public speaking skills.Ability to manage a heavy caseload independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation.Benefits Offered:Competitive salary and benefits package.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.Paid time off and holidays.Supportive and collaborative work environment.
