JOB SUMMARY

As a Lead Engineer, you will be able to technically lead the entire cross-functional design team on their interactions and responsibilities for that project. A Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring the phase gate technical milestones are met, leading technical reviews, and ensuring that the specification requirements inputs and design outputs align. This engineer will have demonstrated experience in releasing product into a production environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, maintain, and debug BMC Firmware by applying knowledge of server hardware architecture and system design.High-level and low-level design and implementation for new features or ideas.Expertise in certain domains of BMC relevant and coach the members.Leadership of a team who can play as a platform owner.All-round knowledge to act as a technical lead.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to develop mathematical models of physical reality and solve them, then implement the results.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

8 years+ of BMC/OpenBMC firmware experience.Good C/C++ coding skills, including well-designed concepts and code tracing skills.Well understanding of the principles of Linux operating system, kernel, application.Well understanding of BMC IPMI 2.0.Knowledge in Redfish (Restful API) is a plus.Independently porting skills of BMC to custom HW or algorithm.Ability to read schematics.Experience participating in at least one whole server project cycle.Bachelor or Master in Electronics, Computing, Software Engineering or similar.
