Accountant 4 (PCN 04-5049) | Government Jobs page has loaded.The Department of Revenue, Treasury Division is recruiting for a full-time permanent Accountant 4 in Juneau.The Treasury Division is the bank and trust department for the State of Alaska.

It provides cash management, portfolio management, debt management and accounting services for the various retirement funds, the State's General Fund, the Constitutional Budget Reserve Fund and numerous other funds and trusts. This position is assigned to the division's asset accounting section.Duties of this Position may include but are not limited to:

Tracking and providing instruction to the custodial bank accounting entries related to the Alaska Retirement Management Board’s (ARMB) alternative investmentsCalculate and track the State and ARMB’s management fees, performance fees and unfunded capital commitment amountsCompliance over pricing provided by the custodial bankAssistance with yearly independent audit of the Treasury DivisionInterpretation and application of policies, procedures, contracts, regulations, and statutesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in:Analysis and Assessment: Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information.Financial Analysis: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling, earned value management, and evaluating key financial indicators, trends, and historical data.Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, standards, and practices (for example, double entry accounting, accrual accounting), including the full accounting cycle and the preparation of work sheets, financial statements, ledgers, and journals.Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.Technical Competence: Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.Special Note:
