The Builder Tools team works to provide a dependable code development platform from local development through CI for all of FanDuel’s engineering teams. This includes administration over our code repos, artifact repository, and build systems.We’re looking for passionate & experienced technologists, strong communicators, and those with a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to propose pragmatic solutions to complex problems and be eager to both learn from and educate others. In the role of DevOps Engineer, you will work amongst multidisciplinary teams, tackling complex problems to create world-class infrastructure as we continuously build out our exciting and innovative developer experience.THE GAME PLANEveryone on our team has a part to play:Work on a platform engineering team which supports the development of performant and reliable applications across FanDuel.Help support and maintain the continuous integration systems that supports an efficient developer lifecycle for our engineers.Proactively identify and advocate for opportunities to improve the current state of projects and team processes.Respond with urgency to operational issues and support requests, owning resolution tasks within the team’s remit.Prioritize work to achieve the team’s overarching strategic goals.Embrace change and rapidly adapt.Be vigilant for degradations in services owned by my team by tracking key metrics.Keep production running. Provide on-call support as well as in-hours support.Contribute to conversations to remove blockers and foster collaboration across teams.THE STATSWhat we're looking for in our next teammate:Familiarity with continuous integration systems such as: Buildkite, CircleCI, or Jenkins.Experience with administrating artifact repositories such as Artifactory.Experience in software development (e.g. Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).Strong experience with delivering programs and projects via tools like Jira.Proficient in developing applications related to Platform engineering, Infrastructure engineering, DevOps, etc.Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform).Strong verbal and written communication skills.PLAYER BENEFITSWe treat our team right. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
