Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account), By Mail, Drop-offThe CalSTRS Procurement Management Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst in the Outreach Unit.The Procurement Management Division serves as a collaborative conduit between the vendor community and CalSTRS business areas to secure competitive pricing from the most qualified providers to transparently fulfill the needs of our customers. We endeavor to provide excellent customer service through teamwork, system expertise, and support.Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent is responsible for providing outreach to promote state contracting requirements including in-person presentations and trainings, developing communication plans, analysis and research, and technical assistance activities towards meeting state contracting goals.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:Excellent Communication and effective presentation skills.Ability to work effectively as a team player and work collaboratively across teams.Ability and desire to show initiative with completing tasks.Ability to analyze complex program implementation problems and develop effective courses of action to find solutions.Experience developing training curriculum or presenting training material.Positive outlook and enthusiasm.Duties will be adjusted at the Staff Services Analyst level.Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.Please note that this is a limited-term position with the possibility of being extended up to 24 months or becoming permanent.Telework Information:

All staff of CalSTRS are employees of the State of California and subject to California employment taxes and withholdings. Upon appointment, staff are required to provide a current California address to CalSTRS Human Resources to be used as a remote work location.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
