Job Summary and QualificationsThe Food Services Lead supervises and coordinates the activities of the Food and Nutrition Services department to ensure we provide our patients, visitors and colleagues with high quality food service. Your commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to achieving the best experience for our patients.

What You Will Do In This Role:

Ensure timely and efficient meal service to all patient service areas.

Respond to customer & guest concerns in person at the time of the complaint and via e-mail for electronically received complaints.

Utilize computer and manual systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports, such as shift reports, inventory logs, attendance logs, etc.

Direct, monitor, and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the department and employees in accordance with both company standards and regulatory agencies.

Assist in preparation of work schedules and assist in performance evaluations and competencies of all employees.

Train new employees and ensure consistent training of current staff on policies, procedures, and equipment.

Notify management of any food shortages and equipment breakdowns; take appropriate corrective action as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities if assigned in the Production area: Ability to process transactions on POS system.

Ability to work at/rotate through all stations in the Cafeteria and kitchen.

Assist in monthly inventory process.

Assist in daily ordering of supplies, food, etc.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

High School Diploma/GED.

Serve-Safe Certification Required.

Must obtain a Food Handler Card within 21 Days of Hire.

Three or more years in a previous lead position in a food service environment.

Organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Customer relations skills.

Math, grammar/spelling skills.

Read/comprehend written instructions.
